Morning Update

Villanova probably was one of the most underrated teams in the tourney this year. A bunch of those kids have Tourney experience from the rudy gay days 2 years ago and some freshman have come in and stepped up..... that being saif Kansas is going to wipe the floor with them.

I was walking through the supermall last night and overheard this heated exchange.

Cougfan: "I told you the cougs were for real"
friend: "yeah but picking against them is so much fun"
Cougfan: (turning magenta in the face, and yelling so pretty much everyone in the store can hear) "What do you mean it's fun?"

I walked away as the exchange was rapping up but it struck me as pretty much right on, it's not like I dislike the cougs they are a decent team, but it's more fun watching coug fans get all defensive when you run them down... Is there another team that has done nothing in recent history that gets all defensive about their "non-accomplishments,"
Coug fans respond with "Huskies suck" or "how did football go?"... to which I can only shake my head. Now if the Cougs get by UNC (provided UNC gets by Arkansas) I take it all back but 1 sweet 16 appearance in the last 50 years, not exactly the historical barometer to measure a program by.
